Whalebone

We took the motorhome up to Birsay, the top northwest of Mainland, just to give it a good run and charge up the battery. The southerly wind was blowing the spray off the breaking waves, a spectacular sight, especially with the old whalebone standing steady (in recent years it's had 'work done' to help keep it upright!).  Berry was VERY excited by the winds/scents/everything-all-at-once so I'm afraid she didn't accompany us on the walk but had a calming down moment or five in the motorhome.

Then a drive to the absolute opposite end of Mainland (the far East) to use the Deerness campsite with access to the community centre for wonderfully clean facilities.  Nice to have a different view and to be out and about.
