It's a shame to see a whole row of what could be some nice residential cottages wasting away, right next to the Meadows as well...

I read that in the current UK housing crisis, there are tens of thousands of properties sitting empty, mainly due to inheritance disputes or no one claiming them after the owners pass away. I reckon there should be a law on these properties defaulting to the local council after a certain period of time, or some new housing scheme, so that they get sold and occupied. Thoughts?
