The culprit

I am entranced by Rainette’s description of the two tame blackbirds who come to her kitchen for their daily sultanas, and have been inspired to try and encourage the blackbirds in my garden to sample some of these tasty morsels too.

So for the past two or three days I have scattered a few sultanas on the path near the bird feeders, and watched to see if I had any takers, but without success. This morning, however, I found out who it was who was gobbling them up – and sadly it wasn’t my lovely female blackbird, as I had hoped!
