Wedgwood Monument

Instead of collapsing in front of the TV, as we tend to do a Wednesday night, we decided to go exploring.

So a trip to my new found nature reserve, Parrot's Drumble, to show my other half my new bluebell wood.

And a trip up to the Wedgwood Monument, to see the 360 views. It's a Grade II listed building, and looks more impressive in silhouette like this, than up close. It was originally much taller than it is now - it was blown down in the 1970s.

I'm not sure if the John Wedgwood it was erected in memory of, was any relation to the famous Wedgwoods of Stoke-on-Trent??
