Day 5 Woolacoombe to Braunton

The coastline near Croyde.

Today was a beautiful day. It pounded down with rain all night, and we heard some parts of Devon had snow (snow, in May, crazy), but by the morning the weather was changing.

We started at Woolacoombe and walked the coast south westwards, very gentle walking with only one small hill behind Saunton (to avoid the road), and the rest cliff top and estuary walking, before reaching Braunton for the night.

Most of the day I walked without a coat - who would have thought that was likely after yesterdays downpour. Even the wind dropped for the first time.
