Turtle (turned)

Had what passes for a treat these days - got a car from the car club and went out to New Hopetoun Garden Centre for a browse. Even managed to drop in to Craigie's Farm on the way, just for a keek since we'd never been there.

There were lots of lovely little birds at the feeders at Hopetoun - I didn't really get a good shot of any of them, but D seemed excited to see a tree sparrow (who knew?) so I've put it as an extra.

Then on the way to drop stuff of at the allotment (well, sort of on the way) we called in at the Figgy; the otters are back there apparently. Didn't get a sighting, but there were lots of birds and a very noisy gaggle of Canada geese who were doing a lot of preening, washing and honking. I didn't realise before that when they go under the water to wash their plumage they turn completely upside down. Haha! See above.

Later celebrated Burns' night with traditional fare (cooked by Dave); he addressed the haggis and later I managed to remember how to sing Westlin Winds and he did the whole of Tam o'Shanter - a tour de force.
