The promise of things to come

This is back-blipped as blip decided that the close up of the Clivia bud was not the right dimensions and it has taken me almost a week to think of doing a collage instead.
Negative Covid tests all round means that visitors started to arrive for the weekend and with visitors, the log burner has to be lit in the evening.  The grandpup was stretched out in front of it, but moved just as I took the picture!
