Oil Pastels!

I've had a small box of oil pastels for ages and never really felt inclined to use them, basically i just didn't like how they looked on the paper.   but today, after watching a new artist to me Marianne Mitchell use them in a different way i thought i'd try it.   Great way to see some new compositions appear!

working in my office/studio space today cos it has been hellish out there...snowing this morning and now it's just pouring down!!!

Yesterday we had a meeting of our Community Market vendors and board members.   It's not good news....4 of the 5 members of the board are leaving ..... we need, by law, to have a minimum of 5 people on the board!   The folks leaving have been on the board for 7-8 years and they are tired and want a change, i don't blame them at all, but it is a rather daunting task - if we don't fill these positions by 25th February the market will be dissolved!!! This will not only impact my annual sales but it will be just so sad to see our market, which has been going since 2010 (i was one of the very first vendors) and a great loss to our community.  So, i'm on a mission and will be talking to everyone and anyone in our community that might be willing to take on one of the roles.

Also had a physio session...i think this back traction thing might be working!!!
