Bird

I haven’t tried to identify this bird, occasionally spotted on the local beach. A quick shot before we started our long journey home. We started our journey with one of the local open taxis which took us to the local airport. There was no machine for security so our bags were checked by hand. She didn’t want to see the camera, just confirmed what it was. Next we took the small propellor plane which took us back to Barbados. We had checked the incoming plane from Heathrow and were confused that three different start times were showing on different websites. We realised there was a delay due to serious fog issues at Heathrow and the plane was going to be late. We found out later that the plane had begun to taxi twice and turned back, successfully setting off on the third attempt. The plane arrived nearly three hours late which meant people going onto other islands missed their connections. The airport staff worked well and we didn’t have too much of a delay setting off.
