Eye Contact

I made eye contact with this red kite over the lake this afternoon. Shortly after I took this shot a sparrowhawk flew high above the gum tree on the island. I got an image which clearly showed one of the bird's piercing yellow eyes but the bird in the frame was too small to blip.
