A day of two halves.

I went for a walk this morning and was cheered by seeing the snowdrops on the grass verges, as well as a carpet of bright yellow aconites. See extras.
After lunch we went to Lichfield to shop for an upcoming birthday gift.
A successful purchase acquired we had a stroll there and I took the photo of Minster Pool. There was a chilly breeze.
Now home once more we are both reading, the Times for me, and a book for Stephen, to the background music of Beethoven’s 6th symphony. (The Pastoral).
It is now misty and dull outside, but the curtains and blinds do not yet need to be drawn. The hours of daylight noticeably lengthening.
