Great Garden Birdwatch

Bramble helping.

I counted during the morning rush hour. Disappointingly, neither the collared doves, that appeared on Thursday after several years of absence, nor the redwing that came a week before, nor any of the other  occasional visitors put in an appearance but tree sparrows  (only three of the usual five) did come. Otherwise it was the usual dunnocks, tits, blackbird, robin and jackdaws.

Our bird count has changed greatly over the years, with a preponderance of corvids taking over from the finches and siskins, which is very sad to note as this seems to be occurring in the wild also.
