(028) Point of View

I spent some time today on the bike exploring Beecraigs country park, which is in West Lothian, just south of Linlithgow. Since I was taking the car there I packed a camera and the 'big' lens, just in case there were any decent views to be had. Turns out there were a few. The main image is a view from the visitor centre car park, looking toward Edinburgh. The reddish 'hill' in the foreground is the Greendykes bing which is a remnant of the shale oil industry that was prevalent in this part of Scotland from the mid 19th century through to the late 1950s. The first extra is a wider view showing Arthur's Seat to the left and Blackford Hill to the right. The second extra is a shot from the top of Cockleroy hill, looking west toward Stirling.
