Imagination!

This chap's audience looks a little quizzical, and well she might: the subject matter and the result on canvas bear little resemblance (see Extra).  He must be good, with that sort of imagination.

We had some new doors fitted today, replacing the originals from 1985.  The new ones are only standard oak veneers with vertical panels, quite common in the houses that we've visited, but it was the only pattern in mass production that had the variety of sizes that we needed in this house.  And they were reasonably priced.  The carpenter who fitted them did a wonderful job and, considering their weight, must be amazingly strong to manoeuvre them upstairs alone.  We have to trust that he will return before too long to fit the rest.
