Night's Templers

The lanterns are lit at the temple near my house, and several monks were busy preparing in anticipation of Buddha's birthday tomorrow. Seats are set out and decorations are up, ready to celebrate the big day.
I've blipped this temple a good few times before. It has a busy road outside and you can check out a street view of more lanterny goodness here.

Most importantly for us non-believers though, is that Buddha's birthday also comes with a day off work, so we're heading to a remote island for three days of sun (fingers crossed), sea, sand and mountains. It's my wife's and a friend's birthday too, so hopefully it'll be a great weekend.
I'll be away from the internet until we get back, which means a blipless few days, but all being well some interesting back blips will show their faces early next week.
