Grandmothers

It is a great sadness to me that I never knew either of my grandmothers. 
This is a scan of a studio portrait of Edith, my maternal grandmother. She died in May 1930 of one of those killer diseases that were so prevalent prior to the discovery of antibiotics. 
I have told the story of Ida, my paternal grandmother, in a previous blip https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/4223644. She died in 1919, a victim of the Spanish 'flu pandemic.
