Lester the Loggerhead

Lisa and I went with Robert and Linda today to explore the coastline. The hope was to see some loggerhead turtles that are rehabilitating, and the lighthouse in Jupiter, Florida.

We went 1 for 2. The lighthouse was closed on Mondays, and there just wasn't a good angle to shoot it without getting inside the fence. Drats.

We did see several loggerheads getting well. A boat ran into Lester and clipped his right flipper. They hope to keep him for a month or two longer and then release him. He was the biggest of the 6 turtles we saw.
