Today is National Freedom Day - the day when President Abraham Lincoln signed the 13th Amendment that effectively ended slavery in the U.S.

Today is also Spunky Old Broads Day (S.O.B.)!
Women of a certain age might sometimes mourn the loss of their youth, but the best of them know that a ton of freedom comes with the experience of getting older. The wisdom, confidence, and quirkiness are inherent in many women in their fifties and older commands a certain amount of respect and awe.
