Mr Potato Head

Windy night, low bloods,
not a lot of sleep around..
Yawny day for all.

Ben's bloods were low in the night so his dexcom was beeping and I kept having to give him juice.  It settled just after midnight and then Leo woke up at 3am and had a poo in the garden :-/ He settled back for a bit but it was windy and he woke again at 4am and then at 5:20am.  Not a great foundation to the day.
Still, never mind.  Ben seemed OK with the change in meds from the psychiatrist and went to school happy.  I took Leo for a garden play and then gave him a second bath.  The first one, last week, was a bit of trial effort and didn't successfully remove any dog related odour!  Second time was a bit more of a win, with a bit more lathering and whilst he might not be 100% sweet smelling now, he's also not as grotty as he was.  We'll get there in the end!
Ben had a good day at school, he did well at swimming and was more or less calm in the car on the way home, he had a bit of a 'to-do' at home when unpacking his swimming bag and we realised he'd lost his goggles, he just goes from 0-100 in the blink of an eye.  There was no amount of me telling him we'd ask school and check with swimming's lost property and then buy a new one if necessary.. he just shouted and grabbed the hoover pipe and was throwing it around, he then bit through a pencil and was trying to snap a wooden spoon (unsuccessfully..)  It could be worse but it's quite intense to live with.  He did calm down though and he's been pretty good since.  Mr KCNQ2Haiku's mum was here which helped, as he likes chatting to her whilst he bounces on the trampoline and Wednesday is pizza for tea for him, so that's always a win.
Mr KCNQ2Haiku asked if I wanted to share a beer (always a "Yes!") and produced this gem from the fridge!  A Mr Potato Head Pale Ale from a brewery called Sureshot.  So that was a very satisfactory start to the evening.
I'm hoping for a more solid night's sleep!
