Legodude

Duplodude

Born this afternoon following a long labour. His heart rate dropped dangerously so they decided to prep for a Cesarean. Then Duplodude's heart picked up again.
So they gave Mrs. Legodude the choice of returning to her room and continue trying for a normal birth. Or carry on with the surgical birth.
She chose surgery because she's twelve days overdue and there was every chance that trying for normal birth would end in surgery anyway.
However, as the procedure was about to be carried out, Duplodude suddenly moved down the birth canal to the point midwives delivered him using forceps.
He wasn't breathing when he came out and was rushed away for resuscitation. Spent a while getting oxygen and stimulation to try kick-start Duplodude's breathing.
Which worked as he's now breathing unaided. Biggest concern is possible brain damage due to oxygen starvation as he was entering the world. His brainwaves are being monitored and traced. Not out of the woods yet, according to the doctors, there's no immediate threat to his life and we just need to take it hour by hour, result by result.
