Spring beckoning

This was a lovely day. The temperature was surprisingly mild and pleasant compared to the normal cold temperatures we'd been having. It was so good to walk around in it! 

I liked the way the sunlight was emphasising the tunnel effect that the trees along this road make. I also put in an extra of some of our Aconites that had just begun flowering beside our kitchen door. These are always the first flowers for us. They reliably show up well before the Snowdrops. They were actually a little bit later flowering this January than previous years, maybe because of the snow we'd been having.
