St.Mary The Virgin Churchyard, Thurnham
Today was the first of the train strikes this week. The downside, taking today as annual leave, but the upside was no commuting so I got to spend the day with my brilliant brother instead. We therefore decided to go to the Black Horse at Thurnham for lunch. We both chose sausage and mash with crispy onion rings and, although there was a bit of a wait, it was well worth it as it was totally delicious. This was washed down with a pint of Erdinger, which is a very tasty German wheat beer.
On the way home we decided to stop off at Thurnham's church where we had never been before. It was down a little alleyway that then opened out to a beautiful churchyard with stunning views of the Downs and that's where I took today's image.
