Wicksteed Park

Went to Wicksteed Park in Kettering for a walk this morning.
I knew nothing was open there as it’s out of season but thought there might have been a coffee shop open.
There wasn’t even a little kiosk open!
No doubt it is very different on a warm summers day, great place for families.

Wicksteed have been making play ground equipment for over a century.
I remember as a child seeing the name on each step of the ladders on a big slide at the play park near our childhood home.

Snapped these two little statues before heading to Corby by which time it was both lunch and coffee time.
