Winter Willow

After an increasingly cloudy afternoon, the sky in the distance lit up at sunset. My challenge was finding a suitable viewpoint to make it interesting. I tried a few spots before settling on using the willow tree in the foreground. I like its branches, they have character. 

I had to underexpose to keep the highlights in the sky which made editing for the snow exposure difficult. I like the moody sky, very winter-ish.
