Jungle

Usual chaos of a morning with small children before walking up to the swimming pool with Mt and Mx for Mx’s swimming lesson….starting on front and and back crawl kicking whilst holding onto Mt or floats and getting more used to his face in water. Amazing to see some progress in only half an hour and definitely more confident than last time I saw him.
Home and had pastries and coffee before driving up to see P. Did some shopping for him and chatted about how he’s feeling. He’s frustrated about not being able to get up and about and I fear doesn’t realise just how much his strength and muscles are deteriorating having been chair or bed bound since the end of July….he thinks it won’t take much to walk again. The wounds on his feet and legs are also not healing but I don’t think he sees that they won’t whilst he’s either in bed or resting on them in his chair…he’s not using the foot rest properly or even reclining it very often. Still, he was in quite a cheerful mood and very pleased I brought him a thick weekend newspaper to look through and a bottle of wine!
Stayed with him to do cleaning and write a list of everything that’s in the fridge and freezer, then chatted some more and left him comfortable til tomorrow.
Drove to T&Kt’s….he’d already gone to work for an afternoon event but chatted to Kt and played with Heston then we had a tasty lamb saag curry that she’d made and watched a whole series on netflix about a girl who’d been snatched and how a journalist found her….another late night! Rather an EB of their bathroom since realised too late I’d not taken other photos today
