Full Moon Setting

Went out to Chasewater first thing with the moon setting to the west as the sun began to rise to the east.

I did notice a large number of black headed gulls flying above the surface of the reservoir, almost murmuration like. I wasn't quite sure what was causing them to do that.  There are many signs about avian flu around the water and I did see a couple of gulls with damaged wings trying to move around at the water's edge.  Add to that a dead gull in the water and I had to assume that the disease was prevalent in the area.
