Checking the Coast is Clear

I was walking around Lerwick's Esplanade looking for Black Guillemots in winter (extra) and summer plumage (seen but not photographed) when I spotted an otter. After following a trail of bubbles he appeared directly in front of me and took fright and dived away. No sign of for around 10 minutes until I spotted him nipping up steps in the harbour wall. Sadly when he came back out he was a bit quick for me so not a well focused photo but you can't have everything.
