Bay of Birsay

I haven't been anywhere for a couple of weeks due to work/weather/lethargy, but managed to get up and out to Birsay today. Pretty nice for February, not cold and wind not too strong and it stayed dry. The usual birds about- curlew, ringed plover, purple sandpiper, wigeon, grey heron, cormorant etc. Noticed about 100 oystercatcher so they must be filtering back. Most of Orkney's winter south. Extra of turnstones
