On the way

I started off the Amaryllis very late this year, but its buds are a very welcome sight on a grey February day!

Worked from home for the first time in a fortnight and used the opportunity to make some slow cooked onion soup for lunches this week, and a delicious light chicken stew for dinner too.

Was feeling a bit sorry for myself after something annoying happened at work this morning, but watching the terribly sad news about the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria while I ate my lunch put things in perspective.
