The old and new…

The two colour pics were taken today. The black and white pics were also taken today but are snaps ofold photographs from the 200 years of the markets exhibition.
shropshirelady was finding it difficult to imagine how the modern interior I often photograph looked as a busy market. The Co-op is where the old fish market was as you can see from the ceiling and round windows. The café in the inner street was the fruit and vegetable market.
In the early years of working at the Income Tax Office the little kitchen where we could make tea or coffee had a window overlooking the fruit and vegetable market.
