Black-tailed Godwit

We headed off to visit Martin Mere WWT today. A beautiful sunny Winter's day. We were well wrapped up to sit in the hides and weren't disappointed.

Marsh Harriers and plenty of Whooper Swans, geese and ducks. (see extra)

Although the swans are not here in the great numbers due to it being warmer and they don't need to travel further south, as with the Pink-footed Geese. And there are very few Bewick Swans.

What was there in great numbers are Shelducks!
