Orkney - the Dark Mysterious Interior; 15.23 hrs.

It had to be tackled today as I was on the way to the Dounby health care centre for a meeting about my mother’s health and treatment.  In adventuring through the dark hinterland I meandered along the Germiston Road (both ways!).  The clouds were low, beyond battleship grey, even having their bottoms scraped wouldn’t have helped.  The Creel HQ anemometer hasn’t been below 53 mph for the last 27 hours.  There was a preternatural lull at the Dounby crossroads. In news that won’t be transmitted globally tonight’s parish whisky club meeting is cancelled as one of the participants is full of the cowld.  And there’s a high probability that smitting  would come into play in the confines of the Bothy.

Apparently the Club President has arranged for a travelling optics service to visit all members
