Richmond

We packed up all too soon this morning and left York to head north.  We stopped at Richmond where a walk was planned to the Abbey.  Bob was having a rather bad day as he had rather overdone things over the last two days, so we wandered up to the huge square and just pottered around, looking at the rather quaint shops, and having coffee, and also just having a seat in the sunshine.

We were impressed with Richmond, and enjoyed our visit, especially to Mocha for coffee and the purchase of some chocolate.  There are several interesting museums in the town, also a castle and a waterfall not far from the centre.

On leaving the town we headed north homewards again, stopping at Carlisle Golf Club where we had pre-booked a meal.  We do this on a regular basis when heading home from short breaks, it is nice not to have to cook when home.  We had a lovely meal, and were home in EK at a fairly decent hour, after having had a wonderful time away.

Always nice to come home, though!
