Corfe Castle in all its glory

Finally got to Corfe and Swanage. Don’t think we’ve been since Covid - perhaps once? So near, but so far, as the shorter route by chain ferry keeps closing due to probs.

So the car had an airing. Turned off at Corfe and popped Into the New Inn at Church Knowle for cider.

Returning to Corfe just had to stop in a quiet lane to blip the castle. Then strolled round the village - good time of year, few visitors. Mr B had to buy a large Dorset Apple Cake at the baker. Eyes bigger than his mouth. He took my advice and freezed ½.

Finally to Swanage. Usual wander to the pier and back via the High street, and cobbled lane. Had a flat white at Javas.

Sunny day, 8/9C. Good walking weather. Clear views to the Isle of Wight and Bournemouth.

An hour’s drive back home. Jjust been up to E. His kids were there, always lovely to see them.

(Solution to yesterday’s blip: When it’s wet/damp, Bournemouth Square gets really yucky from passersby footprints. This blip is of a single - yucky - paving block. Look closely and you’ll identify shoe-prints)
