Crocus

All of a sudden, the spring flowers are racing to make an appearance. There are clumps of these delicate purple crocus on the slope beside the drive and they are interspersed by the occasional, more robust, white crocus. I hope the sun will shine sometime over the next couple of days as it will encourage all of them to open up and show off their full beauty.

I had a trip over to Tobermory in the morning for a routine medical appointment but the cloud base was close to ground level and not conducive to photography. In the afternoon, five of us met at church to do a spring clean and clear out the vestry which had become a bit of a dumping area during the pandemic. It’s amazing what can be achieved in less than two hours when you put your mind to it.

During the evening, I noticed that finally, the frogs have arrived in the pond for their annual courtship.
