Grey Heron

The young aggressive male heron was waiting beside the dovecote. He came running over when he saw me. I was about half way through when a dog chased him although not very far. He flew up the hill a bit then landed and waited for me. I finished feeding him then made my way to the path. The passive female (pictured) was first to appear then the regular male then another adult and another youngster. I managed to feed them all before heading home feeding the crows as I went.
I think it was a false sighting of the young one the other day. I just hope she did not move to Holyrood Park, although being solitary she will possibly be fine..
