Fire!

As we often do we had a slow start to the day but around lunchtime the ladies headed off to town and the second-hand shops.
Dave and I prepared dinner and did a few outdoor jobs. The most important one was probably digging out the dustbin filled with gravel. It had completely disappeared under the snow that had fallen from the roof, and with all the ice we have we NEED that gravel. Some wood that is unsuitable for our wood-burner was chopped and sawn up and used for the outdoor fire as it got dark.
It was so lovely sitting there, drinking mulled wine, feeding the fire, and socializing as the day disappeared and night arrived. Jan wrote a lot about that on her blip.
Once it was dark we moved inside and ate dinner and then started another game of Mexican Train dominoes, as pictured by Jude.
Another fun day!!  It is going to seem very quiet when our visitors leave...
