A concrete love affair

The disused Forfar Railway Bridge

I drove between Forfar and Kirriemuir, two lovely towns in Angus, today and saw this bridge on the way! A most interesting structure, clearly once part of a now dismantled railway line. In fact eastern Scotland is littered with these relics.

Having trouble pinpointing the line this bridge once crossed atop. Suspect it's the Kirriemuir branch from Forfar, once part of the Scottish Midland Junction railway, but cannot be sure. Anyone know better?

A lovely bridge and a little monument to the once seething connectivity the railways offered Angus and to the engineering talent and skill which built these ruggedly enduring structures.
