Ian - The Rat!

The end of the week before last saw my wife's birthday. With what has been happening with my mum over recent weeks, time was rather limited to buy a present. 

I managed to buy a book related to her hobby of crocheting Octopus's for premature babies (as featured on QI last week). She is a quality control coordinator for the finished ones before they can be sent to the baby units at many hospitals around the country.

The book I bought has many patterns for small creatures. One such creature was 'Ian - The Rat'. That swung the purchase and, when the book was opened and that page found, was the cause of much amusement and laughter.

Despite many recent indications to the contrary over recent days, there seems to be good news today about ongoing care for mum. Fingers firmly crossed.
