Pre-romanesque

Monte Naranco, which flanks Oviedo to the north, has two pre-romanesque "national monuments" - Santa María del Naranco, and San Miguel de Lillo. Both are recorded from the 9th century onwards. For scale, that´s two centuries before Wiliam of Normandy invaded England.
The main photo shows the north facade of Santa María. Extras show Santa María from the south, the interior around the altar of Sta María, and the south and west facades of San Miguel.
