Another cake

To Bournemouth for a second day of b family birthday celebrations. We lunch at a local pub and microbrewery. This eating out is getting to be a habit.

Fabian takes me and Megan to see his workshop. It’s a spacious labyrinth, with lots of light and plenty of equipment for working with glass.

Back at the house, there’s another chocolate cake to eat. Which makes a walk along the beach a requirement (while mum has a snooze). Megan and Louise walk ahead, while Fabian and I try to get a word or two in while Charis chatters.

I take the scenic route home as night falls. It’s a shorter route, and takes no longer than the motorway, but there’s lots of villages and roundabouts. We get back to Bedwyn before 7, and then it’s time to take Megan back to Swindon.

Finally, the driving is over. A bit of tortilla for supper, followed by a Joni Mitchell documentary.
