Well named

Part of the extraordinarily grand frontage of the 19th century Palace Hotel in Grantown on Spey High Street. The design of the hotel building - complete with pepperpot turrets expressed the confidence of Grantown as a holiday destination in the late 1800s. At one stage it was the HQ of the Scottish Norwegian Ski School. After the closure of Grantown railway station guests were collected from Aviemore but as tourism declined the hotel became a care home and is now for sale by auction.
