Fancy Hat Rack.....

An early frost this morning, but the sun soon came out to shift it.
Left Kev on mucking out and bedding cattle, loaded up a cull cow into the trailer, Littlemiss and the terrier into the Landrover, and headed off down the road to the mart at St Boswells.
It was a jumbly load with just one beast in the trailer, but got there.
Dropped her off, washed out the trailer,a quick visit to the canteen for our bacon rolls ,then back home.
Brian from Border Livestock in to look at some cattle getting nearly ready to sell. Will need to get time to sort them into an even group so he can come back and see them properly.
No sooner had he arrived than Arthur from Hamilton Tractors arrived in with my slurry tanker with its newly fitted dribble bar. Once he had dropped it off ,gave him a hand to hitch up the New Holland baler which I've traded in for a McHale so he could take it away to their yard.
Got a phone call at 5 pm to say there was a load of fertilizer heading my way . The lorry was just leaving Dundee.
He arrived in at 6.30 ,but I had to tow him up the yard as the mud was starting to freeze again. Had him emptied and away by half 7 ,so looks like I'll need to sell a lorry load of cattle to pay for tonight's fert !
Swings and roundabouts......
Spotted this cow at the mart ,very impressive headwear.
