Sgwarnog: In the Field

Crags

For a half-term excursion, 15yo & I headed over to Hebden Bridge and Hardcastle Crags. A cool and misty start developed into  a nice sunny afternoon.

Sister #1 picked us up at Sowerby Bridge station and ferried us up to the Midgehole car park from where we all walked along the river for lunch at Gibson Mill (extra) and then an ascent of the crags (main image). We admired a willow horse (extra) and were joined by a large flock of Siskin and three Buzzards.

Then we popped down the hill to Hebden Bridge for a potter about and our afternoon café stop before saying our goodbyes and taking the train home.
