Acts of Kindness

Mrs CBL and I went out for coffees this morning at the Loch View Café in Crimond where they were celebrating Valentine’s Day big style.  There were balloons in the shape of a heart on every table as well as a little dish with chocolate hearts and a packet of Love Hearts on them.

The individual Victoria Sponge cakes were delicious, very light with a rich creamy and homemade jam filling.  “Affa funcy pieces”, as they would say in this part of the world.

Onwards to Fraserburgh for a walk on the beach.  It was bright and sunny but there was a chill in the wind.  Strolling along the promenade we spotted a little plastic bag tied on one of the benches, fluttering in the wind. You will have seen and read the message and sentiment expressed on it in my photo.

Love and romance was in the air in Fraserburgh today!

PS There were two crocheted hearts and a little note in the plastic pocket  asking the recipient to keep one and give one to some else who might be feeling downhearted, making the gesture even more thoughtful.
