Waiting for a bus for 4 hours

There a re sometimes travels do not work as planned.
Small cities in France only have two or three public buses to move from one village to the other. I had to wait very longtime that day to arrive to Paris.
I took one auto stop car in the road with my bike. 13km then I waited about 5 hours for the bus to go to another small city.
I started to rain all day, I got wet waiting for a train.
Then the train was cancelled 15 minutes before departure.
It was a mess. I had to take another bus to another train station. Fortunately I could take another train to Paris. I arrived home at 9 PM.
