sunflowers

This is the jigsaw I'm puzzling just now, given to me by the lovely Lizzie. It's from an artwork called "The Sunflower Quilting Bee at Arles" by Faith Ringgold. 

"In this lithograph, eight powerful African American women fromm the past and present display a colourful quilt that is a communal symbol of their achievements."

Such a wonderful image to keep looking at, night after night  (its not an easy puzzle!).
