Looking down

Most of the East Neuk villages are built on two levels - the harbours and some houses are at the shore level. Others are at a higher level, on top of what used to be cliffs. The two levels are joined by steep, narrow streets or passages called "wynds". Here is one leading down to Cellardyke Harbour.
