John Muir Monochrome

It was not an ideal afternoon for shooting landscape photography John Muir Country Park and the low sunlight was difficult needed careful exposure. However, I noted that the sky had quite a bit of contrast in it which might work well in monochrome. Find the new selection tools in Lightroom so easy to use as it picks out the sky so brilliantly and you can just invert the selection to pick out the scenery and the you can adjust and modify the sky and the landscape separately which deals with a lot of the problems from a massive dynamic range. Using Silver Efex for the monochrome conversion allowed me to bring out real contrast and texture in the image so I was quite pleased with the end result
