Police Fines

While I do receive fines normally for speeding (naughty), I receive one last week for Karen’s car, a large fine for not indicating while turning. However the fine was issued in Dubai and the car was in Abu Dhabi (150km away) at the time. Despite other attempts at getting it cleared, I had to visit the Dubai traffic Police today. They were pretty much useless, I have filled forms (in Arabic), so see what happens. At the same time another fine came in for not wearing a safety belt in Abu Dhabi (which I never do). 

After coffee at the Marina (blip), I headed to Abu Dhabi police department. Two policemen spoke in Arabic for a while, then I think the fine has been cancelled. They said don’t pay it and wait a couple of weeks.
